The virgin PTFE used in these beakers is approved by the FDA for use in the food, beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. Its surface is extremely low energy, inert, non toxic, smooth and metal free without microscopic fissures that can harbor foreign particles and microbes. A very high softening point upwards of 350 Fahrenheit allows it to withstand high temperatures inside baking or drying ovens commonly found food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals manufacturing processes. Working temperature range is from cryogenic to 350C.
