The BDC1850 overhead stirrer especially finds its niche in mixing tar, gravel, epoxies and other extremely viscous fluids. Constant speed! As the stirrer load increases an internal closed loop feed back circuit directs more current to the stirrer motor. At low speed the Caframo BDC1850 can exert 5 times the torque as the high speed range. The BDC1850 is also sparkless with a fully enclosed fully enclosed brushless DC motor with sealed ball bearings.

The Caframo BDC1850 stirrer can handle high volume, high viscosity stirring as easily as dispersing and homogenizing. Of course these actions all depend on the type of impeller in the overhead stirrer. Low speed dispersion of aggregates in liquid media is typically done with the dispersion impeller.
